Jesus took His three closest disciples aside and asked them to pray for Him. He moved a bit farther away, knelt down, and sank into
prayer. At first, He pleaded: "Father, remove this cup from me"; at the end He accepted the suffering that was His destiny. As He prayed, His perspiration fell as drops of blood and an angel appeared from to give Him strength (Luke XXII).
